Press Release - Rowlett Area Chamber Supports GISD Bonds

Rowlett, Texas – The Rowlett Area Chamber & Visitors Center Board of Directors unanimously voted to support and endorse all three of the Garland ISD Bond Propositions that will be on the May 6th ballot.
Each of the propositions were carefully reviewed and discussed by the Board of Directors who considered two primary questions: 1) Does the bond proposal impact the business community, and 2) it is good for the business community. In each instance the board determined that the bond proposal does impact the business community and is good for the business community. It is the belief of the board that these bond proposals increase safety and educational opportunities for students, thus creating a better, more qualified future workforce.
These propositions are the key to unlocking a world of new opportunities for students and staff. Proposition A includes crucial updates to facilities, infrastructure improvements, and enhanced safety measures that will benefit and protect students for years to come. Proposition B will provide much-needed multi-program activity centers, giving students access to top-notch extracurricular activities. And Proposition C will refresh and update technology devices, ensuring that students have the tools they need to succeed in the digital age.
This investment in our schools is not only good for our students but also for our local businesses. By providing a top-notch education, we are attracting new families to the area and cultivating a talented workforce for our community.
The board believes that by voting YES on all three propositions, we invest in the future of Garland ISD and help create a world-class education system that will benefit generations to come. The Rowlett Area Chamber Board of Directors encourages all eligible citizens to vote YES on the Garland ISD Bond Propositions A, B, and C and ensure our schools have the resources they need to prepare our students for a successful future!
